In June we celebrated volunteers, in particular all the wonderful volunteers in Neighbourhood Support organisations across the country!

Taupō Neighbourhood Support regularly organises free ‘3 Steps For Life’ basic CPR & AED training sessions for local residents with Hato Hone St John. "Our May theme is "Supporting Our Young People", so I think it's worth pointing out that 3 Steps for Life sessions aren't just for adults - young people aged 13+ can also benefit from the sessions."

Mandy Merson, Community Safety Officer for CommSafe (Neighbourhood Support in Te Awamutu), was recently awarded with a prestigious District Commander's Commendation from New Zealand Police!

Community Cam is an amazing underutilised resource, Waitaki NS coordinator Christine Dorsey collaborated with NZ Police and Mitre 10 in a joint promotion to boost community camera numbers in the area with amazing results!
