Neighbourhood Support Pakuranga, Bucklands Beach and Flat Bush is a community-led network dedicated to building safer, stronger, and more connected neighbourhoods. By bringing residents, families, local businesses, and community organisations together, we work to create a sense of belonging and resilience that benefits everyone across east Auckland. We cover all across urban east Auckland (except suburbs of Howick, Botany, Golflands, Meadowlands and Shelley Park).

Our role is to support neighbours to look out for one another, share important safety information, and strengthen connections that make our community more welcoming and prepared. From crime prevention tips and emergency readiness resources to promoting community events and fostering communication with our key local partners, Counties Manukau East Police (where we are based), Auckland Council Emergency Manangement and Howick Local Board, as well as Fire Emergency New Zealand Counties Manukau; we act as a bridge between people with the free advice, resource, support they need.

We encourage neighbourhood groups to form, stay connected, and be proactive in keeping homes, streets, and workplaces safe. Whether it’s reducing the risk of burglary, preparing for natural disasters, or simply knowing who lives nearby, small actions can make a big difference. Our membership is diverse and is free to anyone who lives/works in east Auckland.

Together, we can build east Auckland as a community where people feel safe, informed, and supported. Neighbourhood Support is not just about safety; it’s about creating a place where we all care for and look after each other.
