Neighbourhood Support Rotorua is a vibrant, community-led organisation dedicated to building safer, more connected neighbourhoods across Rotorua and its surrounding rural areas. With almost 450 active support groups, it reaches around 9,400 households, local businesses, and motels.

Our mission is rooted in crime prevention, neighbourly connection, and emergency preparedness. Working closely with Rotorua Police, the local Civil Defence network, and community partners, we share alerts, coordinate street-level safety efforts, and support each other in times of crisis.

Over the years, our efforts in Rotorua have proven effective — areas with Neighbourhood Support groups record significantly lower crime rates, and their volunteer network helps keep residents informed and prepared.

Neighbourhood Support Rotorua promotes a spirit of community, mutual care, and resilience — empowering neighbours to look out for one another and take collective responsibility for safety.
