About the event

Join Whakatane District Neighbourhood Support and Hato Hone St John to attend a FREE CPR and AED Training.

Learn how to perform CPR! While waiting for medical assistance, performing CPR can greatly increase a person’s chance of survival from cardiac arrest. If you live Rural it could take longer for an ambulance to get there.

Whakatane Neighbourhood Support is collaborating with Hato Hone St John’s 3 Steps for Life to provide FREE sessions to our community that will cover basic CPR and AED skills that run for 60 minutes. There are two sessions to choose from 10am or 11.30am.

Empowering people with life skills like CPR skills enhances the overall readiness of our community in responding to emergencies.

3 Steps for Life is designed to give everyone the confidence and awareness to take action when somebody suffers a cardiac arrest BY:

1 – Calling 111        2 – Starting CPR        3 – Using an AED

Applying CPR and rapid defibrillation can increase a patients chances of survival up to 40%.

To Book a Spot RSVP to Jane 027 255 1351 or Jenn 027 255 1350 or email whakatanens@xtra.co.nz.
