How are other District Reps managing the process of collecting nominations for District Awards?
Here's what we're doing in Tasman...
Timeframe: Nominations open Monday 1 February. Close Friday 26 March.
Nominations sent in by Google form.
Nominators: can be staff, volunteers, board members or household members, street contacts.
Judging: Process must be transparent. Any conflicts of interest must be announced and the person step out of judging for that particular nomination.
All staff to meet via Zoom on 30 March to discuss all nominations and shortlist.
Tasman Awards Committee to meet 12/13 April. To be set up by Charlotte, consisting of x1 MDNSS rep, x2 TSNS reps (x1 Nelson/Waimea + x1 Marlborough), x1 Police/FENZ rep, x1 Community Organisation rep, to select the winner of each category (x3 in total).
Prize for each winner will be a certificate and a gift voucher. Budget/funding source TBC. Prizes will be presented in person by someone (staff or board) from the relevant area. There won’t be a District Award ceremony due to time constraints. Photos must be taken for social media/ advertising purposes.
District winners’ information to be sent to NSNZ by 30 April.
